Get to know Trivandrum

The capital city of Kerala, Trivandrum is still regularly called by its colonial moniker. Diminutive and compact compared to other regional cities, Trivandrum is often just a springboard for travelers headed towards the beach resorts of Kerala. But stay a little longer and have a gander, because the city’s sights – from India’s oldest zoo to new Kerala-style temples – are pretty impressive in their own right.
